Nothing warms a Grandma's heart on Thanksgiving Day more then having her 1 year old Granddaughter coming for a visit! Grandma wanted to take an opportunity during her family's visit from Arizona to have photographs taken of all of them together. I was delighted to be chosen to capture this time for them.

I love prints! Yes, it is nice to see my portraits on the computer, I love to see people share them on Facebook but nothing beats seeing my images in PRINT! Well the only thing I have found that I love better then a single print is a STORYBOARD! With a storyboard you get a custom designed collage of images from your session printed on professional paper and then mounted on either styrene, a standout or (MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE) a gallery mount! The gallery mount is 3/4 inch thick wood and it is marvelous. This is ready to hang piece made to showcase somewhere special! Here are a few photos of a recent storyboard I did.

This beautiful couple is about to get married....next month! I am so excited to be a part of the intimate affair they are planning for mid-December. We had a ton of fun walking the streets of Cedarburg getting these engagement photos for them!

My sweet Gretchen is not feeling well, she has an ear infection. I had the backdrop set up for a session today so I put her on it when we were done, she certainly seems to be handling her ear infection well! Gabby had multiple and almost never batted an eyelash when she had them either. They obviously don't have my pain threshold.

Saturday morning was PERFECT weather for a session with a 1 year old! I met the F family at a local nature preserve and it was wonderful with the fall colors. Their little one was such a doll!

Although, it was not hard to see where she got that from, her parents! They were not only beautiful but also really nice..

I admit it, I am sad about summer coming to an end. Luckily these beautiful fall colors are making it easier to take the season change! David Security Insurance was gracious enough to let me use their gorgeous back yard for my mini session this weekend, a perfect fall location. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!!

Have you ever looked at my hair and wondered how I get it to look so fabulous? Well, I have a little trick up my sleeve....her name is Jamie! When Jamie asked me to photograph her family, I knew urban was the only way to go. They are a great family and I hope I captured them well.

I think Bex is going to make an awesome big brother....the only time he wanted to sit still all morning was when I asked him to hug his baby sister!

And don't forget about big sister Riley...she is going to be a great helper!

One of the reasons I love this family and had such a fun time on this session was because they are fun! Dad saw this tv sitting upside down in the alley and it was his idea to turn it around and put Bex on it. Love it!

On Saturday around 4:15am Kelly woke her husband Ryne up (although I think he was already up!) with some exciting news....their baby was coming! It is hard to believe that it has been three years since this little guy was born! Gabby was the first great grandchild for my Grandma Per but she did not have to wait long for two and three...Eli was born just a few weeks later and Emma just a few weeks after him. Tonight I met Dario and his family for a newborn session, but he decided their was too much going on to go to sleep! So we got some photos of his beautiful eyes and gorgeous family!

I am trying to figure out who is better at posing; Dad, Dog or Dario......I think hands down Dario is the winner! Although they all look pretty happy.

Little Hayden is almost 1! His Mom invited me over to take his pictures

He was interested in what I was doing at first, but a little uninterested in my camera and antics

Or maybe he was mad that I made him get naked and sit on a plate in front of his neighbors!

But he got over it once we put his clothes back on and showed him this

Seems like time goes by too quickly at times. My niece, Kaitlyn is about to make the move from an elementary school to a middle school! I am glad her school offered the time to stop and reflect upon the elementary years they are soon leaving behind and I am proud that Kaitlyn (or her Mom!) asked me to come photograph her on her 5th grade graduation day. Congratulations Kaitlyn!

The week before Mother's Day I took my girls out (twice) to get photos for gifts for Grandmas for Mother's Day. It took two tries and lots of photos and here is the pick of the liter.....it really is harder to photograph your own children!

Yesterday afternoon I had the opportunity to hang out in the park with the H family and it was a blast! They are such a fun,loving family and they were willing to try anything. Just a hint for any of you who may want to try and make B laugh, tell him his sister farted! This post was supposed to be a maternity session, but on the day of our scheduled photo session their little man decided to make his arrival! My friend's welcomed their first baby boy into this world just over two weeks ago. I was lucky enough to get to come over and photograph their smiley little boy. Thank you Machi and Alex!

I have known this little one's mother since we were kids, now we are grown up (sort of) and have kids of our own only a few weeks apart! Lidia was such a joy for my second photography session. We had big plans with the cake, but as the usual with a baby she had plans of her own and did not like the cake! She eventually warmed up and we got some great photos.

If I was counting my journey in days this would be day 1. Claire was 7 weeks old at the time and the first child, other then my own that I photographed. Although I see flaws in my photography it was a great experience and she was a WONDERFUL model to start with. Not only is she gorgeous but she was very willing to participate and an excellent baby. Thanks for the practice Claire!
